Kelly Schroeder's Dayton office serves clients in Montgomery County, Clark County, and Miami County. Her principal practice areas include:
guardianships, probate litigation, probate administration, juvenile law, guardian ad litem, litigation, appeals, municipal liability, and freelance legal research and writing.
She is admitted to practice in Ohio, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and the Sixth Circuit. Kelly clerked for a Montgomery County Common Pleas Court Magistrate. Prior to KMS Law, Kelly worked for 17 years at a civil defense litigation firm in Dayton, Ohio.
Kelly received her J.D. cum laude from the University of Dayton School of Law and her B.A. cum laude from the Ohio State University. Kelly was an Executive Editorial Board member of the Law Review, and published an article titled Fair and Equitable Distribution of Goodwill in an Ohio Divorce Proceeding, University of Dayton Law Review Volume 31 Issue I (2005) https://ecommons.udayton.edu/udlr/vol31/iss1/4/ . Kelly served as an executive member of the Dayton Bar Association Board of Trustees from 2013 to 2015.
Kelly Schroeder also takes an active role in community projects. Kelly performs pro bono legal work for the Dayton Volunteer Lawyers Project. She assists Adult Protective Services with guardianships. Kelly is also a Court Appointed Special Advocate.
